Step 9 : Day 7 : Wuxi - Shanghai

Day 7 : Wuxi - Shanghai

The view surrounded the Changguangxi Hotel was beautiful. After enjoyed the early breakfast, walked around before proceed to pearl factory.

The hotel's lobby...

@ Wuxi Qingshui Park Pearl Cultural Centre. Pearl is said to have a history of 5,000 years for health care and beauty treatments and it is a precious jewelry only for women. Yup, I agreed... did anyone saw a man wearing pearl?

Out from the pearl factory, already started snowing. First time felt the snow...

On the bus leaving the Taihu Lake, the third largest freshwater lake in China ...

After more than 2 hours from Wuxi, finally we back again at Shanghai. First activity in Shanghai was shopping at Longhua market; the largest wholesale and retail market in Shanghai. Have to be extra careful since the seller there are very agressive, pulling and begging you to buy their items. Bargain is a must over there.

Then we moved to Chenghuangmiao. Here was much more better. Chenghuangmiao area is the oldest city area in Shanghai.

The stalls with the chinese art and handicraft...

Paper cutting art...

Chinese drawing with hand...

The thing that must try it out over here is the famous "Siew Long Pao"; steam bread with meat and soup stuffing. So many people queing when we arrived at the stall.

There were others good food around as well...

Next we had the Huangpu River tours. Tickets for the tour were not included in the tour package...RMB100 per person.

A tour that enable us to enjoy the night view along The Bund with dozens of historical buildings, lining the Huangpu River.

Dinner - enjoyed the 6 Stars Deluxe Buffet at the Golden Jaguar with sharkfin, ablone, wine...etc. Something like Jogoya or Shugun buffet in Malaysia.

Lastly checked-in the most luxury hotel room @ Shanghai Eastern Airline Hotel. We were quite lucky to get this room...maybe due to few complaints from my husband to the tour guide before. We get the Executive Deluxe Suite...worth RMB1120 per night. So syok...
