Day 6 : Nanjing - Wuxi
The night before, it was already rained and some said snowing too...but both of us already slept like pig to know all these. This morning continue to drizzle. With the wet-cold environment and the cloudy sky, we went to visit Nanjing Massacre Memorial Hall; the Memorial Hall for the people killed in the Nanjing Massacre by the Japanese army in and around the capital.
The weather and place really matched plus the eerie sound which can be heard from the unseen speaker inside the building and garden. No photographing, laughing, smilling and making noise allowed inside to show respect. Inside, skeletal remains are everywhere!!!
Below were the quick snap shoots by my hubby at the entrance.

After the eerie visit...went to Jade-carving and crystal manufacture and exhibition Center. As usual, the entrance closed once all of us entered the shop until they hit their sales target only they allow you to go out. Buy or not buy must stay. For us...sure get our camera out and shoot. Cannot own the expensive jade...but the photos we owned.
After lunch, departed to Wuxi.
On arrival, rain still continueing. With the umbrella, we visited the first destination @ Wuxi; the Ling Shan Grand Buddha. We were rushing for the Nine Dragon Bathing The Buddha musical fountain show. Luckily...we all on time.
The lotus closing and the end of the show....
The Ling Shan Grand Buddha; the world largest standing Buddha statue. The Grand Buddha is a bronze Sakyamuni standing Buddha with more than 80 meter high.
It should be a wonderful place for photographing but the weather not allowed. After that, we proceed to Ling Shan Brahma Palace. Now can stayed out from the rain. The management was quiet pro...the plastic bag for wet umbrella and shoes covers all were ready.
Wuxi is famous with clay figurines; the famous folk arts in China for its cute design, bright color and vivid image. We bought some as souvenir...cheap cheap if buy from the roadside stalls.
Proceed to Lihu park. Lihu Lake, a bay of Taihu lake, has something to do with the legend of Fanli and Xishi who is one of the four beauties in ancient China. The tour guide kept on with the stories but I don't understand at all... maybe i am without the China cultural and history knowledge war...
