Step 10 : Day 6 : Pattaya - Bangkok

Day 6 : Chatuchak Market, Khaosan Road, Democracy Monument, Giant Swing

The day to bid farewell to Pattaya and back to Bangkok. After the breakfast, took the Songtiao to the bus station. This time, we going to take the bus to Morchit and not to Ekamai. it was because our next destination was Chatuchak Market. Morchit station is very near to Chatuchak Market. Bus fare a bit expensive compare to Ekamai, 121 Baht per person, extra 8 Baht extra.

We reached Mochit station around 12.20pm. Took cab from the bus station to Chatuchak Market for 40Baht. We placed our luggage at a flower shop since we couldn't find any hotel / luggage storage place. The florist was very friendly and when we gave some money as appreciation, the beautiful florist didn't want to accept...we keep on insisting and at last she accepted with a smile. Love this kind of people. Then we headed to Chatuchak Market, the mother of all markets and the biggest in Thailand only open for weekend.

The entrance to the market...

The market's map is available at the information station. Better get one to plan your shopping spree and in case if you get lost of direction. It covers of 70 rai (28 Acres)...all together divided into 28 sections, contains more than 10,000 booths selling goods from every part of Thailand.

Eye-catching...the coconut ice-cream.

Very refreshing...come together with a glass of fresh coconut juice for 30 Baht if not mistaken.

Our targets just for clothes, souvenir and food...

My favourite...the pure strawberry juice.

BBQ cuttle fish...

Cupcakes...

Meatballs and sausages...

BBQ fish and prawn...

Fried bird eggs...

Kitty on sale...

Promoting the Speed Dating...can't understand even a word. Log into the website; http://www.thaimate.com/ ...all in Thais as well. So only for Thai people only.

The market open from 6am to 6pm. We shopped until 5.15pm, get the tuk-tuk back Soi Rambutri.

We stayed at 'O' Bangkok for the last stay in Soi Rambutri. 680Baht for Double bed air-cond room with include the America breakfast.

After bath and packed the things that bought from Chatuchak...we went for dinner. This time we chose Villa Cha-Cha where we atracted to come for their BBQ fish.

Yummy BBQ fresh water fish in process.

The BBQ fish was the best I ever take especially with the special sauce. Can't find in Malaysia at the moment because the technique used in grilling the fish is different.

Not only the price is reasonable...the dining environment and interior are unique & special as well.

One thing I felt not so suitable...See the Buddha teaching while we eating???

Saw the banana pencake seller...can't help myself to get one. Yummy...especially with the chocolate syrup.

After the heavy dinner and the delicious banana chocolate pencake...we walked to Democracy Monument for photographing. 10.30pm...the street quite dark and empty. My hubby convinced me that everything should be fine to go on. When we reached there...we saw few photographer busying snap-shooting here and there. Looking of them my heart a bit relieved since all came alone...the place should be safe for us.
The Democracy monument...

At the roundabout of the Democracy monument, we turned to south and walked further in for the Giant Swing.

Reached Bangkok City Hall before the Giant Swing.
The Giant Swing is a religious structure in Bangkok. Beside is the Wat Suthat temple.

We just spent 15 mins since the night getting late. For safety...we faster walk back to the hotel.
