Date : 24 March 2010 to 26 March 2010
Location : Genting Highlands
Itinerary:
Day 1 : Ipoh - Genting
After the 2 overseas holidays, time to cut off our budget. Thus, this round we plan for a local holidays. From Ipoh to Genting Highland, Bukit Tinggi and later on to Kuala Lumpur.
Up up to Genting Highlands.
Our first destination was the Genting Strawberry Leisure Farm, the new attraction in Genting. It is situated at Gotong Jaya Town, half way to Genting Theme Park, next to Genting Sport Center complex. After the roundabout and at the junction, signboards are there to show you the way.
We reached there afternoon around 1.30pm. At the entrance, we had the same feeling like we had reach any of the Cameron Highlands self-pick strawberry farm.
Somewhere inside the farm, locate a cafe which served variety of drinks and deserts made from strawberry. The tables and chairs in strawberry shape too...
Others than strawberry farm, the place is a vegetable farm too.
And also a mushroom farm.
As well as a flower farm. At the end, I just can said the farm is not a strawberry farm but is an onestop center for all the plants that normally we can spotted in Cameron.
Looking for the souvenirs, this is the place as well.
This golden cat is grown from a plant.
Later on after check-into the First World Hotel. We went to Chin Swee Temple 清水岩庙. A place we normally go before reach Genting. But this time, we were a bit later...so better for us to check into hotel first.
We strolling around until we came to the entrance of the lift. We wondered where the lift lead to?
The lifts lead to the accommodation in this temple. It is a best choice for whom need a peaceful environment.
We stayed there until sunset before we plan for a dinner.
For dinner, we headed to the Mushroom Farm Restaurant. The mushroom farm is hidden away behind the glitzy theme park and resorts of Genting Highlands where it can be reached by following the signboards to Kuala Lumpur after the resort area.
Since only two of us, we choose for a simple Bah Kut Teh Dinner.
